Get to know me a little

Pastor-E loves people (most people, lol) especially from other cultures; he worked with youth and their families for eighteen years and served in several pastoral positions.

Pastor-E loves the US Marine's, as a former Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant, a father, husband, missiologist he longs to understand the culture and beliefs of others and has a deep desire to reach them for Christ ( by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone). Pastor-E has traveled throughout most of the USA (never been to North Dakota,sorry) and to several foreign countries (mostly Asia and the Americas). Pastor-E met his wife in the Philippines and has been married 27 years they have one daughter Leah (a anthropologist)

Currently Pastor-E has been "Into the world" (yes he said WorLd)

Pastor-E is working on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Florida as a host and server (not a personal servant) in order to provide income for his family and feels blessed to have met so many REAL people! He appreciates that the people he works with are genuine, diverse, and loving. Unfortunately he has been known to say “the people here are more caring than the church”. This disturbs him and HIM.

Pastor-E lives in the jungle of American humanity. He has friends and people he loves from all walks of life (Male, Female, Young, Old, Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, Christian, Atheist, Muslim, Buddhist, Jewish, Pagan, Hindu, Agnostic, Gay, Straight, Bi, Liberal, Conservative, Democrat, Republican, Bond and Free. You get the point! I think?

Pastor-E believes he can learn from these people because, “that Light. 9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. Read John 1:1-13

Pastor-E is a sinner, not even close to perfect (perfection is faraway, on the way, and on layaway for those in Christ) , he has a extreme amount of energy and hates hubristic pride and arrogance, (especially his own). Romans 1:15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. NKJV

He fails at times to (1)“put off, concerning the former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, (2) put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. (See Ephesians 4:17-32).

He never does a good job at this:

Colossians 3:1-11

1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, 7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.
8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, 11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all. He strives to do his best before God and can always do better before men.

Pastor-E is interested in business, (particularly wealth building via real estate), travel, (never been to Europe), the mind, (Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus; Philippians 2:5); World History (a new interest), He loves comedy, messing with peoples minds, learning, travel and reading non-fiction. Most of all he loves Leticia (his wife), and they love Leah (their daughter). We love our dog "Chino"

Pastor-E is a independent, moderately conservative Christian. He loves theology but, is not a theologian. Although he is categorized as a evangelical conservative, he does not understand many biblical mandates, precepts and principles, but accepts them by faith. Many times he will be the first to say “I believe such and such, for the following reasons ……., but I am open for discussion, opinion and otherwise, I may be wrong, but I am sure God has communicated the answer to the issue adequately in the scriptures”. He believes that natures declares, the glory of God. (read Romans 1)

His passion after family is missions and his life verse is Job 19:25,26.
